Daydream Island (West Molle Island) is one of the best known of the 70 sub-tropical islands, most of which are uninhabited.
Daydream Island is surrounded by the beautiful turquoise waters of the Coral Sea in the South Pacific Ocean and offers spectacular snorkelling and scuba diving.The Great Barrier Reef Marine Park was World Heritage Listed in 1981 and is home to over 1,600 species of fish making your diving experience a kaleidoscope of all colours of the rainbow. The island resort hosts snorkel divers and SCUBA.

You need only take a few steps off the Island to go Snorkelling on the World Heritage Listed Great Barrier Reef.

The main base for the Whitsunday Islands. A mecca for backpackers, pretty much run by backpackers.

You can book camping and buy camping permits from the EPA. – Get a water taximan to drop off and collect.

Whitsunday Island is the largest Island. There is no accommodation on the island, as it is all National Park. However, you can camp at several places on the island with Dugong, Joes, and Sawmill Beaches offering water supplies. More fabulous beaches cover the ‘desert’ island.
